Introduction
Pottery is an ancient craft, with the earliest historical records of wheel-thrown pottery dating back to 4000 B.C. in Egypt and 3000 B.C. in China.

What is considered pottery?
To be considered pottery, a piece must be a fired ceramic ware that contains clay when formed.

4 Main Types
Practice
There are four main types of pottery. You can work with porcelain, earthenware, stoneware and ball clay.
You could make your first clay product after just two weeks of learning but you’ll need at least three thousand hours of active practice to get your skills up.
